Annual report 1998 of the Central Safety Department, Research Center Karlsruhe

The Central Safety Department is responsible for supervising, monitoring and, to some extent, executing measures of industrial health and safety, radiation protection and security service at and for the institutes and departments of the Karlsruhe Research Center (Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH), and for monitoring liquid effluents and the environment of all facilities and nuclear installations on the premises of the Research Center. In addition, development work is carried out in related fields. This report gives details of the different duties and reports the results of 1998 routine tasks, investigations and developments of the working groups of the Department.
