Clinical significance of changes of serum CA50, CA242 and Hcy levels in postoperative patients with colorectal cancer
Description
Objective: To explore the clinical significance of changes of serum CA50, CA242 and Hcy levels in postoperatives with colorectal cancer. Methods: Serum CA50, CA242 (with RIA). Serum Hcy(with immune chemistry method) level was measured in 31 patients with colorectal cancer and 35 normal healthy controls. Results: Before operation, the serum CA50, CA242, and Hcy levels were significantly higher than those in controls (P < 0.01) after operation for 6 months, the levels were slight difference from those in controls(P > O.05). Conclusions: Changes of serum CA50, CA242, and Hcy levels might be helpful to judge the progression and severity in patients with colorectal cancer. (authors)
