Advances in the post-processing of AZTLAN Platform codes

Description

As the computing power advances, it becomes more common to use powerful numerical solvers, but also pre and post processing tools both to facilitate the creation of input files and to make better results analysis. The preprocessing tools are based on a graphical interface for the user through which the user interacts in a simple way to create an input file that was traditionally constructed in the form of a text file. Also the tools of preprocessing allow to review and correct details such as the mesh, the materials distribution and common errors of parameters definition before executing the code and in this way avoid wasting time obtaining results that do not correspond to what was desired to model. In the case of post-processing, is also vital to facilitate the extraction of information from the output file and, as far as possible, to simplify the analysis of results by means of images and/or videos that allow viewing the points under study with precision. For the AZTLAN Platform, implementations for pre and post processing have been started based on the open source library Med and HDF5. The first implementations have been made for the AZTRAN and AZKIND codes and the first results are presented in this paper. It should be noted that a similar approach will be used to resolve the neutron-thermohydraulic coupling later. (Author)
