10∼100 kV free-air ionization chamber

  • 1. Academia Sinica, Beijing, BJ (China). Inst. of Atomic Energy

Description

The Free-Air Chamber for low energy X-rays and its correction factors and results are introduced. The total uncertainty of the exposure measurement of this chamber is estimated being 0.39% (K =1) for 25∼100 kV, and 0.45% for 10 kV X-rays, respectively. Calibration of the secondary standard dosimeter NPL-2560 produced by NE company, U.K. with this chamber shows a systematic difference lower than the results given by NPL in March, 1983, but little higher than that given by the China National Institute Metrology. However, they are still agreed within 1%. (12 refs., 6 tabs., 2 figs.)
