Wave functions of the triaxial rotor model in the multiple open-quote open-quote Q-excitation close-quote close-quote scheme

Description
A possibility to present the collective state wave functions of the triaxial rotor as multiple open-quote open-quote Q excitations close-quote close-quote built on the ground state is analyzed. It is shown that for arbitrary γ the wave functions of the low lying states of the ground and other bands are approximately pure multiple open-quote open-quote Q excitation close-quote close-quote states with an accuracy better than 75%. copyright 1996 The American Physical Society
