Techniques for the analysis of radionuclides in the environment and their application. Part 1

Description

The Alligator Rivers Region Research Institute (ARRRI) undertakes research into the effects on the environment of uranium mining operations in the Alligator Rivers Region of the Northern Territory. The Environmental Radioactivity section of ARRRI caries out researches related to the protection of humans from radiological hazard. This work has required the development of a number of techniques for radionuclide measurement and their application to studies of the transport of radionuclides through the environment. In 1990 a workshop, entitled 'Environmental Radiochemistry and Radionuclide Measurement, was held in Adelaide. Five papers presented by staff of ARRRI at this workshop are presented in this Technical Memorandum
