With the project Long Term Vision on the Energy Supply the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZ) aims to stimulate ideas and discussion on the Dutch energy supply towards the year 2050. The first part of this report comprises the vision of EZ on possible developments. The second part holds two appendices: background information on the EZ vision (global quantitative data and trends as reported in recent studies), and an assessment of the impact of previously discussed factors and trends on the energy supply in Western Europe and the Netherlands. Based on this report EZ will determine it's energy policy

Abstract (Dutch)

Met het project Lange Termijn Visie Energievoorziening (LTVE) beoogt het Ministerie van Economische Zaken de gedachtevorming en discussie te stimuleren over de Nederlandse energievoorziening omstreeks 2050. Dit rapport vormt daar een onderdeel van. Het bestaat uit twee delen. Het eerste deel geeft de visie van het Ministerie op mogelijke ontwikkelingen, alsook een beoordeling daarvan op grond van actuele kwaliteitscriteria. Het tweede deel omvat de bijlagen. Bijlage 1 onderbouwt de in het eerste deel gepresenteerde visie. Dit gebeurt op basis van mondiale kwantitatieve gegevens en trends ontleend aan recente studies. Bijlage 2 geeft een inschatting van het effect van de eerder besproken factoren en trends op de energievoorziening van West-Europa en Nederland. Op grond van dit rapport zal EZ bepalen welke beleidsrespons op dit alles gewenst is
