This paper reviews the work performed by the International Linear Collider Technical Review Committee to examine and compare the designs and R and D status of the various e+e- linear colliders currently under study in the world. The paper summarizes the highlights of the report issued in December 1995 and, where applicable, indicates some of the changes that have occurred since its publication. (author)
