Reaction of plutoniun ternary compounds of perovscite type with fluorine
Description
PuAlO3, BaPuO3 and SrPuO3 have been synthesized by the solid phase method. Fluorination of these compounds is carried out on the continuous-weighing balance. The composition of the solid phases is determined by means of chemical, radiometric and x-ray phase analysis methods. At 550 deg C fluorine reacts with PuAlO3 to form PuF6 and AlF3; under analogous conditions BaPuO3 and SrPuO3 form corresponding hexafluoroplutonates
