Two-photon 0+ → 0- transitions in hydrogen

Description

The strongly forbidden two-quantum 1Ssub(1/2)→2Psub(1/2)- transition in a hydrogen atom between hyperfine components with the total moment E=0 is considered. The transition amplitude for the case of absorption of two photons of equal trequency and helicity from colliding beams is calculated
