On p-odd asymmetry in the polarized electrons elastic scattering by nucleons
Description
The p-odd asymmetry of elastic scattering of longitudinally polarized electrons by nucleons is discussed in the Weinberg-Salam theory. The asymmetry sensitivity to uncertainty of electromagnetic form factors of the nucleon is studied. The calculations performed show that at small electron energies the asymmetry is weakly affected by the uncertainties in the nucleon electromagnetic form factors. The kinematic region where the expected asymmetry mainly depends on the sin sup(2)THETAsub(w) parameter is given
