Electrochemical synthesis of lanthanum(III) β-diketonates in ethanol

Description
Electrochemical dissolution of metal lanthanum in ethanol medium (EtOH) in the presence of 0.5 M of lithium chloride with acetylacetone (HAA), dibenzoylmethane (HDBM), thenoyltrifluoroacetone (HTTA) and benzoylacetone (HBA) was studied for developing a method of electrochemical synthesis of lanthanum(III) β-diketonates. It was ascertained that in the course of electrolysis chemical dissolution of lanthanum occurs along with its electrochemical oxidation. By the methods of IR spectroscopy, thermal and elementary analyses the composition of the electrolysis products isolated from the relevant organic solutions was defined, i. e. La(AA)3 · 0.5EtOH, La(DBM)3 · 2EtOH, La(TTA)3 · 1.5EtOH and La(BA)3 · EtOH

С целью разработки метода электрохимического синтеза β-дикетонатов лантана(III) изучено электрохимическое растворение металлического лантана в среде этанола (EtOH) в присутствии 0.5 М хлорида лития с ацетилацетоном (НАА), дибензоилметаном (HDBM), теноилтрифторацетоном (HTTA) и бензоилацетоном (HBA). Установлено, что в ходе электролиза наряду с электрохимическим окислением лантана происходит также его химическое растворение. Методами ИК-спектроскопии, термического и элементного анализа установлен состав продуктов электролиза, выделенных из соответствующих органических растворов: La(AA)3 · 0.5EtOH, La(DBM)3 · 2EtOH, La(TTA)3 · 1.5EtOH и La(BA)3 · EtOHAdditional details
