Magnetic linear dichroism and birefringence of FeBO3 in the 6Asub(1g) → 4Tsub(1g) transition region

Description
Results are presented of investigations of the spectral dependence of the magnetic linear dichroism and magnetic linear birefrigence of FeBO3 single crystals in the 4Tsub(1g) excitation region measured at 300 and 78 K in order to determine the magneto-optical activity of the transition. Magnetooptical spectra proved to be more resolvable comparing to the absorption spectra
