Thus, with an adequate biochemical evaluation and appropriate pharmacologic manipulation of NP-59 uptake, adrenal scientigraphy is an efficacious modality for the identification and localization of abnormal adrenocortical function in patients with suspected disease of the adrenal cortex. (orig.)
