Terminology in radionuclide diagnosis
- 1. Akademiya Meditsinskikh Nauk SSSR, Moscow (Russian Federation). Onkologicheskij Nauchnyj Tsentr
Description
The authors present a critical analysis of present-day scientific terms of nuclear medicine. They demonstrate the shortcomings of the terminoligy that can be explained by the absence of a total systems approach to the process of formation of the system of terms and formulate a number of general and specific requirements to such a system to be used in nuclear medicine. Based on these requirements and the classification schemes previously developed for radionuclide diagnosis methods the authors specify the matrix of typical element terms, intended for the formation of the relevant complex terms, and the technique of such formation
