Das Woerterbuch geht auf alle wichtigen Aspekte ein: Physikalische Grundlagen der Entstehung und Wirkung von Radioaktivitaet; biologische Wirkungen der Radioaktivitaet; Krankheitsbilder als Folge akuter Strahlenwirkung; Entstehung von Missbildungen und Tumoren; Messung von Radioaktivitaet und Interpretation von Daten; Erlaeuterung von Einheiten und Fachausdruecken und Strahlenschutz. Ziel des Buches ist es, dem Informationsbeduerfnis mit sachlichen, wissenschaftlich fundierten Erkenntnissen zu begegnen, wobei bewusst auf eine unzulaessige Vereinfachung des komplizierten Sachverhalts verzichtet wurde.
