  • 1. German Cancer Research Center, Institute of Nuclear Medicine, Heidelberg (Germany)

Description

After 106 kWh of operation practical experiences with the 250 kW research reactor are reported. The special requirements of a biomedical institute concerning the irradiation positions and the peripheral equipment of the reactor are described. Based on 4 years of practical experience, a modified conception of a 1 MW TRIGA Reactor is presented. This concept is actually under construction in a new building of the German Cancer Research Center. (author)
