SUSY versus MAC

Description

We use the symmetries of a theory to gain control over the anomalous terms in the supersymmetry transformations of composite operators. From this, we determine features of the dynamics of supersymmetric theories. We find a large class of supersymmetric models that violate the most attractive channel conjecture. We also find models where R-symmetry is almost certainly unbroken. As the arguments are based only on symmetry properties, the results are non-perturbative and, in fact, rigorous, up to plausible assumptions. (orig.)
