On sub-barrier fusion of 11Li + ASm

Description
Based on the double folding potential of ion-ion interactions, an investigation of the fusion cross sections at low energies for the reactions of a very neutron-rich 11Li with 150,154Sm, within the framework of the coupled multi-channel approach, is performed by taking account of the interplay of the soft dipole mode excitation associated with 11Li and the low-lying collective surface modes associated with ASm. Both spherical and deformed target nuclei are considered. (author)
