Partial widths of the giant monopole resonance in the 208Pb are calculated the frame of the continuum RPA (CRPA) exactly, i.e. without further approximation, and compared to those calculated by other authors as well as the experimental data available. There is a rather good agreement between this calculation and that of others, especially considering the sensitivity of the calculated partial decay widths to changes in the residual interaction. The values for the branching ratios agree well with those where the spreading width is not included. (R.P.) 5 refs.; 3 tabs
