Strength function of 127Xe and iodine-xenon neutrino detector

Description

The strength function Sβ(E) and the cross section of the reaction νe+127I→e-+127Xe are calculated in the framework of the theory of finite Fermi systems. The results obtained are used to estimate the possibility of using an iodine-xenon detector in solar-neutrino experiments. The advantages of the iodine-xenon detector over the current chlorine-argon one are shown
