A first article, while presenting a brief overview of this sector, outlines that the French professional association for geothermal energy has made a call to the government to save the very-low-energy geothermal sector. The second article presents an example of a mix of geothermal energy, thermal solar energy and gas to produce heat, cold and domestic hot water in a brewery district in Alsace. Another example is then presented: a geothermal installation on probes which produces a high efficiency cooling in Montpellier. The next article outlines opportunities in agriculture for geothermal-based heat production (in breeding, in horticulture) with a much reduced energy expense as a result. The five key points and the operation of a tempered water loop (as on the Airbus site in Toulouse, and in a district of Marseilles) are briefly presented. An example of valorisation of waste waters from a sewage plant for the supply of heat and cold networks in a district of Bordeaux is presented. The last article proposes a brief assessment on the French Heat Fund for 2017
