SPECT in psychiatric diseases

Description
Recently, it is possible to visualize various cerebral receptors using PET and SPECT. For SPECT 123I-IBZM (dopamin-D2 receptors) and 123I-iomazenil (GABA/benzodiazepine receptors) are commercially available. In the present paper the results with tracers for regional cerebral blood flow for SPECT in psychiatric patients are summarized. Additionally, results with IBZM in the evaluation of receptor blockade by neuroleptics are presented. (orig./MG)
Abstract (German)
Seit einiger Zeit ist die in-vivo-Darstellung verschiedener zerebraler Rezeptoren mit PET und SPECT moeglich. Fuer die SPECT stehen 123J-IBZM (Dopamin-D2-Rezeptoren)ss und 123J-lomazenil (GABA/Benzodiazepin-Rezeptoren) kommerziell zur Verfuegung. In der vorliegenden Arbeit sollen die Ergebnisse mit Tracern zur Erfassung der regionalen Hirndurchblutung mit der SPECT bei ausgewaehlten psychiatrischen Fragestellungen zusammengefasst werden. Es werden ausserdem die Erfahrungen mit IBZM zur Beurteilung der Rezeptorblockade durch Neuroleptika vorgestellt. (orig./MG)Additional details
