Use of peat in energetics
Creators
Description
The investigations carried out at the 'Eesti Projekt' Company established that it is expedient to start to use peat in Estonia for thermal and electrical energy generation. The heating capacity of the Paernu Station with a throughput of 200,000 t of peat a year might be 75 MW, electrical capacity 45 MW. The respective indices of the Haapsalu Station with a throughput of 108,000 t of peat/year would be 40 and 20 MW. The throughput of a new boiler house at Tapa would be 35,000 t. In this field, experience of Finland might be made use of. (author)
