Description
Some properties of moduli space of lower dimensional heterotic string theories are understood. It is shown that this space has orbifold-type structure, and the tachyonic models only set at isolated points in the moduli space. Also, the conjecture of continuously interpolating between lower dimensional theories is shown to be wrong for the background anti-symmetric tensor field and true for the Wilson lines. (orig.)
