A review of the design-related aspects of the safety of Ontario Hydro's nuclear generating stations
Description
This appendix to the report of the Ontario Nuclear Safety review examines safety factors related directly and indirectly to the design of the CANDU reactor and Ontario Hydro's nuclear power plants. The three areas studied were: hardware, specifically the pressure tubes, containment, aging, performance of process and safety systems, and backfitting; analysis of accidents; and the probability of occurrence and the consequences of severe accidents
