Correlation functions of the QCD vacuum and instantons

Creators

  • 1. State Univ. of New York, Stony Brook, NY (United States). Dept. of Physics

Description

Short-range interaction between light quarks is much more complicated than it was previously believed. Some point-to-point correlation functions are extracted from experimental data and compared to the results of calculations based on 'random instanton approximation'. The present status of the theory of interacting instantons is also discussed briefly. (author) 25 refs., 5 figs
