Computational methodology used in the calculation of flanged joints according to the German policy
Description
This paper describes the computer program FLANGE, used in the calculation of flanged joints. The program was developed in Fortran IV, and based mainly on the recommendations of the DIN 2505. After a brief introduction of the problem, the paper presents the theoretical method used in the calculation of the Equivalent Allowable External Load (EAEL) at the flanged joint which is the objective of the program. A general view of the subroutines, files and tapes used is also given, and details about the input and output data are explained. (author)
