Photometric determination of hafnium in tantalum base alloys
Description
The procedure has been developed for determination of hafnium with xylenol orange in titanium base alloys containing 1-10% hafnium as well as tungsten and rhenium. Concomitant elements are bonded into peroxide complexes. Correctness and reproducibility of the developed procedure has been evaluated by the analysis of synthetic mixtures and alloy samples. The standard deviation obtained does not exceed 0.05
