Effect of anticorrosion cladding on static crack resistance of vessel steel in initial and embrittle states
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Mashinovedeniya
Description
Results of experimental study of static crack resistance of steel 15Kh2NMFA with austenitic cladding and without it are presented. Standard samples of different typical dimensions are tested in the initial and embrittled states at room and decreased temperatures. Values Ksub(1c), determined using cladded samples both in the initial and embrittled states, confirm the presence of the lower field envelope of experimental points Ksub(1c)-tsub(red), obtained according to test results of 15Kh2NMFA steel homogeneous samples. It is shown that the anticorrosion coating cladded on pearlitic steel 15Kh2NMFA does not result in a decrease in static crack resistance of the material neither in the initial nor in the embrittled states
