Description
We examine the present status of the art of the dynamical analysis of galaxy clusters, focusing on the possibilities of deriving the run of Mass-to - Light Ratio with radial distance, by means of the hydrostatic equilibrium equation. Such a 'classical' analysis will appear rather questionable after our next contribution to this conference: an alternative method is proposed by Mellier
