The effect of earth-connection of the cable-ways on electromagnetic compatibility of low level links in nuclear power stations
Description
The detector on measurement lines used in nuclear power-stations is located many hundred meters far from electronic device in adverse surroundings (electromagnetic rays and temperature) so a preamplifier can't be used. Low amplitude impulses up to 10 E -13 coulomb, are carried along with rise times in the range of 10 to 20 ns. Cable-ways play an important part in the link sensitivity to radioelectric disturbances. In fact, cables and cable-ways are similar to transmission lines as for disturbance currents that are directly affected by cable-way impedance. The following steps have been proceeded: disturbance current distribution measurements in situ in cable-ways with several earth-connection configurations; equivalent mathematic pattern studies; applied mathematic patterns to plant. The best protection from radioelectric disturbances has been found for a cable-way earth-connection configuration

Sur les voies de mesures nucleaires utilisees dans les centrales, le detecteur se trouve situe a plusieurs centaines de metres de l'electronique, dans une ambiance hostile (rayonnement et temperature), qui rend l'utilisation de preamplificateur impossible. On est donc amene a transporter sur de grandes longueurs des impulsions de faibles amplitudes -jusqu'a 10 E -13 coulomb- avec des temps de montee de 10 a 20 ns. Les chemins de cable jouent alors un role important dans la sensibilite des liaisons aux perturbations radioelectriques. En effet, les cables et les chemins de cables se comportent comme des lignes de transmission pour les courants de perturbation qui sont donc directement affectes par l'impedance des chemins de cables par rapport a la terre. On a procede suivant les etapes suivantes: mesure sur site de la repartition des courants de perturbation dans les chemins de cables pour diverses configurations de mise a la terre; etude de modeles mathematiques traduisant les phenomenes observes; application de ces modeles aux installations. Cette etude a permis de determiner la configuration de mise a la terre d'un chemin de cables qui assure la meilleure protection contre les perturbations radioelectriquesFiles
