Description
There is a wide range of underlying causes to be considered in the differential diagnosis of pulmonary embolism: Coronary infarction, pneumothorax, pneumonia, acute cardiac insufficiency, symptomatic aortic aneurysma, or acute dissection of the aorta. The modalities available for radiological examination are plain X-ray radiography of the chest, ventilation/perfusion scintiscanning, spiral CT, MRT and primarily MR angiography, and intra-arterial DSA. Die differentialdiagnostische Palette zur Lungenembolie ist weit: Genannt werden als Differentialdiagnosen der Herzinfarkt, der Pneumothorax, die Pneumonie, das akute Herzversagen, das symptomatische Aortenaneurysma oder die akute Aortendissektion. An radiologischen diagnostischen Verfahren stehen die Roentgen-Thoraxuebersichtsaufnahme, die Ventilations-/Perfusionsszintigraphie, das Spiral-CT, die MRT, insbesondere die MR-Angiographie und die intraarterielle DSA zur Verfuegung.
