The purpose of this work was to study the effect of repeated repairs on the mechanical properties and microstructure, in the case of a combined welded joint of steel-20 pipes with a 219 x 7 mm diameter. The following technic were used: microscopy, tension assay and impact assay. The characterization of the thickness loss nd the behaviour of residual stresses were also made
