Methods of nuclear medicine in rheumatology
Creators
Description
About 25 rheumatologists, immunologists, orthopedicians and specialists in nuclear medicine participated in the second LBI-Symposium, held on 16./17. October 1981 in Baden. The aim of this meeting was to review the present knowledge of the possibilities for diagnosis and therapy by radioisotopes. Work is presently in progress and it seems to be necessary at this stage to give some indications of how far we have progressed. We decided to divide our topic into three parts: 1. the in-vitro methods, that are the radioimmunoassays; 2. the in-vivo methods for diagnostic purposes which means the different methods of scanning and uptake measurements; 3. the methods for therapeutic purposes, that is the synoviorthesis.
