Conclusion talk at the international conference 'Neutrino - 82'
Description
A conclusion talk held at the International conference 'Neutrino 82' is presented. The main topics of the conference, the advances in lepton physics are reviewed. The experimental and theoretical status of proton decay investigations, the determination of neutrino mass, neutron electric dipole moment, the question of existence or non-existence of neutrino oscillations, neutron-antineutron oscillations are surveyed. Important experiments, including deep underwater neutrino experiments, Salam-Weinberg model tests and experiments for discovering new particles, W and Z bosons, axions, 'achions' and other exotic particles, e.g. nuino, are summarized. A brief outlook to the near future experimental and theoretical status of particle physics is discussed. (D.Gy.)
