Description
After the public inquiry notice published by the Prefects of the Gard and Vaucluse districts, a second document states the opinion of the Environmental Authority about two related operations which are to take place on the CEA Marcoule site: the dismantling of the Phenix nuclear plant (INB nr 71) which has been stopped in 2010, and the creation of a new base nuclear installation, DIADEM (irradiating or alpha wastes from dismantling) which is mainly designed for the warehousing of Phenix wastes during several decades before their final storage in other sites. It describes the objectives and justifications of these both operations, their main stakes, the procedure. It reports an analysis of the impact study, and an analysis of the risk management. This text is then repeated with the insertion of CEA comments on this opinion. The last document states some generalities about the public inquiry process, describes its procedure, proposes an overview of public notifications, and then states the conclusion of the inquiry commission on the project as it has been presented to the public, and on the procedure process
