Description
The review is concerned with recent theoretical and experimental progress in the understanding of the physics of formation of large ions by multiphoton process and of nonreactive intramolecular relaxation phenomena in large molecular ions. We shall emphasize the novel phenomena associated with optical excitation and relaxation within a bound, dense, intramolecular, vibrational quasi-continuum. (author)
