Monodisperse polystyrene beads production and radioactive labelling for lung deposition and clearance investigations
Description
A technique for the preparation and labelling of polystyrene microspheres, micronic in diameter, has been developed, using the ''spinning disc'' method. Granulometric assays have been performed with non radioactive material. The radioactive manipulations require shielding, the technical achievement of which is described, in particular for the use of chromium 51 and technetium 99. The aim of these preparations is to study tracheobronchial and pulmonary clearances in the framework of nuclear medicine examinations

Une technique de production et de marquage radioactif de billes de polystyrene de diametre micronique a ete mise au point en utilisant la methode dite ''du disque rotatif''. Des essais granulometriques on ete effectues en milieu inactif. Le marquage radioactif exige une enceinte de protection dont la realisation technique est decrite, en particulier dans le cas de deux radioisotopes, le chrome 51, et le technetium 99m. L'utilisation de ces deux elements est envisagee pour mesurer l'epuration tracheo-bronchique et pulmonaire dans le cadre d'examens de medecine nucleaireFiles
