Reliability assessment activities for non-destructive examination and structural integrity for reactor components in Japan
Description
Some typical activities concerning reliability studies of NDE methods and studies of fracture mechanics are introduced. Eight examples of large-scale verification tests in Japan are tabulated. A proving test for in-service inspection is discussed. Manual ultrasonic testing is also discussed. Some recent studies on structural integrity of reactor primary components and material are described. (U.K.)
