Development of triple-axis spectrometers at HANARO

  • 1. Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Taejon (Korea, Republic of)

Description

Thermal and cold neutron triple -axis spectrometers are being planned at HANARO. The former will be built at the ST4 beam port in the reactor hall and the latter at the end position of the CG2B guide in the cold neutron research facility. They are mainly intended for studying dynamics of conventional condensed matter systems. We discuss the status and plan of these new instruments that will enable inelastic neutron scattering in Korea for the first time
