A study of corrosion resistance of the Y ion implanted stainless steel

Description

An ion implantation system based on a 30 keV mini-separator has been set up and tested at Fudan University. With the system, up to some ten μA/cm2 of ion beam current of rare-earth elements such as Y, Ce, Ho, La, Sm, Nd and Yb, have been obtained. The modification of corrosion resistance for an Y ion implanted stainless steel sample has also been investigated
