On structure and magnetic properties of Gd3Co compound crystallized in space in gradient zone
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Moscow (USSR)
Description
The investigation results of the structure and magnetic properties (magnetization, the Neel temperature of Gd3Co specimens, crystallized in space under conditions, when one end of the specimen is at 1253 K and another - at 943 K) are presented. Comparison of properties of the space specimen and the earth one, prepared as well under conditions of a temperature gradient, is carried out. The space specimen is shown to be single-phase, while the earth specimen has the second phase. The Neel temperature in the space specimen is turned out to be by several degrus higher than in the aerth one. Magnetic behaviour of the specimens of the Gd3Co compound hold in the gradient zone testifies about more perfect antiferromagnetic structure
