Measurement of 239Pu(n,f) fragments mass and energy distributions in the resolved resonance region

  • 1. EC-JRC, IRMM, Retieseweg, 2440 Geel (Belgium)

Description

A new measurement on the 239Pu(n,f) fragments' mass and energy characteristics in the resolved neutron resonance region has been started, in order to check the existence of Bohr's channel spin effect and the influence of the (n,γf) competition. The experimental set-up is described and some preliminary results are presented and discussed
