Structure and properties of Al-Sc and Al-Mg-Sc alloys
Description
Scandium, yttrium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium effect on the structure and mechanical properties of aluminium is studied. The scandium exceeds the investigated rare earth metals in 2.5-3.5 times in the effect on aluminium flow limit. High mechanical properties of the Al-Sc alloys are exploined by presence of stable non-recrystallized structure. Alloying of Al-Mg alloys by scandium results in considerable increase in strength properties of these alloys
