Temperature effects on Skyrme forces and critical behaviour of hot nuclei

  • 1. Dipartimento di Fisica, Universita di Catania and Sezione INFN di Catania 57, Corso Italia, 95129 Catania

Description

This paper extends the derivation of phenomenological forces, say Skyrme forces, to include temperature effects in the framework of reaction matrix theory of nuclear matter. This approach relies on that the local density expansion of the reaction matrix gives a satisfactory description of nuclear matter properties and a microscopic foundation to the Skyrme forces when a density matrix expansion is performed around the saturation density
