Catalysts and process for the conversion of olefins to ketones
Creators
Description
A process is described for preparing ketones in high selectivity which comprises passing a secondary aliphatic alcohol in the gaseous phase with water vapor as feeds to a reaction zone. The zone contains a catalyst selected from the group consisting of compound or complex rhenium sulfides at a pressure of from about 0 to 2000 psig. An alcohol:water molar ratio of from about 0.01 to 100:1 is employed to form the ketone corresponding to the alcohol
