Dynamics of an inclusion compound of alkyl chains in an organic matrix

Description
Inclusion compounds of heptane and octane in the channels of a matrix of the nitroxide C9H16NO2 were analysed by incoherent neutron scattering. Experiments were carried out with selectively deuterated samples, in order to access the individual dynamics of the alkane or of the matrix. A general model of the dynamics of this system is proposed. (orig.)
