Collisional change in the polarization characteristics of an ensemble of excited Ti(XXI) ions in a plasma

  • 1. St. Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics, and Optics, St. Petersburg, 199101 (Russian Federation)

Description

Collisional change in the polarization characteristics of an ensemble of excited ions whose lifetime is much shorter than the average collision time is considered. The obtained dependences of the Stokes parameter on the ion drift velocity make it possible to perform diagnostics of the plasma parameters by the polarization characteristics of radiation
