Explosive activation of rapidly quenched submicron ceramic ZrO2-Y2O3 powders
Description
A study was made on behaviour of nanocrystallite submicron ZrO2-Y2O3 ceramics, prepared by the method of plasmochemical synthesis under explosive loading. It is shown that dynamic effect leads to qualitative change of powder particle morphology, increase of accumulated deformation energy and phase transformation. All this promotes the activation of sintering process
